Civil Rights Group Spreads Pro-2A Message from WNY to NYC’s Doorstep. Plans to Make Major Announcement within One Week

January 22, 2020 – Buffalo, N.Y. – 2AWNY.COM, New York State’s premier civilian rearmament enterprise promoting Second Amendment civil rights expansion through non-compliance, non-enforcement, and repeal initiatives, concluded a successful tour across five counties last week. Between January 9th and January 19th, 2020, the group traveled to Erie, Albany, Onondaga, Delaware, and Rockland Counties, speaking with over 300 Second Amendment civil rights advocates, and conducting more than 11 interviews with leading regional media outlets.

“Our recent trip to Rockland County, right on New York City’s doorstep, demonstrated clearly and forcefully that our message and strategic direction resonates with our downstate colleagues just as much as it does in Western New York,” 2AWNY.COM Civil Rights Advocate Steve Felano said. “To this end, we’ll be making a major announcement over the next week regarding our focus on aggressively fighting for the Second Amendment civil rights of ALL New Yorkers, not just those in the Western portion of the state. Make no mistake – we are stronger, larger, and more focused than we were in 2019. 2020 will be the year of civilian rearmament in New York State. Stay tuned.”

In 2019 alone, working by, with, and through The People, 2AWNY.COM made more progress reclaiming the Second Amendment civil rights of all New Yorkers than politicians of either legacy party and their affiliates have made within the past decade. The enterprise established the largest SAFE Act Seven Round Limit Non-Enforcement Zone on record in the state, reversed New York’s first ever SAFE Act convictionwon a banner victory against gun confiscation in Allegany County, and progressed a range of other actions generating positive impact for New York gun owners.

2AWNY.COM has substantially escalated aggression against Albany’s civilian disarmament industrial complex in 2020, ringing in the new year with a media blitzkrieg across the state. On January 9th, 2020, the group announced its Year of Defiance Agenda 2020 in downtown Buffalo, NY, a direct rebuttal to Governor Andrew Cuomo’s latest imperial gun control proposals as outlined in his State of the State Address less than 24 hours prior. The six-point Year of Defiance Agenda acts as a road map for Second Amendment advocates across New York State to aggressively obstruct, frustrate, and defy Albany’s mindless civilian disarmament program.

2AWNY.COM wasted no time executing against the points outlined in their Agenda. They were in downtown Albany, NY on January 13, 2020, ahead of the New York State Board of Regents’ executive meeting. They called on the Board to develop and disseminate a curriculum that tells New York State students the truth: The Second Amendment Works. They were in downtown Syracuse, NY on January 14, 2020 to call on Central New Yorkers to employ Second Amendment jury nullification in response to state efforts to enforce unconstitutional gun control edicts.

On January 18, 2020, 2AWNY.COM ripped into Delaware County to participate in residents’ Second Amendment Sanctuary Ordinance (SASO) public meeting. 2AWNY.COM’s Steve Felano presented to more than 130 attendees, explaining that the SASO model being pursued by the county could be a model for all of NYS. Felano then traveled to Rockland County, where he met with area residents to discuss their own struggles against New York State’s civilian disarmament regime, and set the stage for future gun control resistance efforts downstate.

2AWNY.COM’s successful multi-county advocacy tour produced substantial media exposure within a small time frame. Below is a sampling of the news stories focusing on 2AWNY.COM’s January 2020 operations, generated within a period of just 11 days:

“One of the key points of contrast that is immediately apparent when you compare us to legacy Second Amendment groups is our embrace of and success with effective media outreach,” Felano said. “On the Second Amendment civil rights issue, we are engaged in a protracted, asymmetric conflict with the authoritarian progressives that control New York State government. That conflict can’t be won without a strong presence in the narrative presented by our information disseminating institutions. Moving forward in 2020, we will continue to incorporate media engagement into our overall civilian rearmament strategy in New York State. By, with, and through The People, we will defeat Albany’s unconstitutional civilian disarmament industrial complex, and pass that victory on to the next generation to defend as their own. I encourage anyone interested in securing this victory to join us.”
